(Wang Bo, Jin Xiaolin, Li Ziyuan)

【Summary 】

Objective: To further observe and confirm the clinical effect of Li Shi Yu Gan San(Doctor Li’s Flu Jet ) on the prevention and treatment of colds (common cold and mild influenza).

Methods: 200 patients with low immunity and frequent colds (not concurrent with other chronic diseases) that met the inclusion criteria were selected and randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group, with 100 cases in each group. On the basis of not changing the original life and medication habits of the two groups, the treatment group was given Li’s Flu Jet and ordered to use it in accordance with the law. Compare. Observation time is not less than one year.

Results: On the premise of not completely excluding other factors affecting the prevention and treatment effect, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 76.84%: the total effective rate of the control group was 40.45%.

Conclusion: Li’s Flu Jet is safe and effective in preventing and treating colds.

Colds and influenza are still the most common infectious diseases of all humans. The incidence is high and the infection is strong, and it can involve almost all people. And so far there is no special effect method, mainly to alleviate the suffering of patients and prevent complications. In particular, in recent years, H1N1 flu has swept more than 208 countries worldwide, causing more than 120,000 deaths. Wherever the “Liu Liu” went, it all caused people to panic and a great threat to public health security. The existence of a large number of people with frequent colds is also the main market for antibiotic abuse, which exacerbates the rapid growth and spread of drug-resistant bacteria in the world. “If you do not take action today, there will be no medicine available tomorrow.” According to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, the traditional Chinese medicine theory, ancestral prescriptions and more than 40 years of clinical experience, it has been repeatedly verified and improved, and combined with the progress of cold, flu, and Western medicine treatment, Li Shiyu Gansan was developed. In order to further observe and confirm the effectiveness and safety of the prevention and treatment of colds (common cold and mild influenza) of Li Shi Yu Gan San, we conducted a randomized group observation, a longitudinal comparison of ourselves and a common living group, and a comprehensive selection of drug delivery timing Clinical research. The report is as follows.

1 Objects and methods

1.1 Object

The 200 observations were from outpatients who were diagnosed with colds and other chronic diseases from January to October 2009, and all met the inclusion criteria. They were randomly divided into two groups, 100 in the treatment group, 5 in the discontinuation, and 95 in the rest. For example, 11 cases were interrupted and 89 cases remained. Among them, the treatment group included 42 males and 53 females, aged 6-85 years old, with an average of 43.10 years old; the control group had 40 males and 49 females, aged 6-77 years, with an average of 45.00 years old. There is no obvious difference between the general data of the two groups and it is comparable.

1.2 Inclusion and exclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria:

Patients who come to the clinic for colds and other chronic diseases should meet the following requirements after observation and consultation:

(1) The body’s immune function is weak and it is often easy to catch a cold (more than 3 times / year).

(2) Those with severe symptoms (must be relieved with Chinese and Western medicines).

(3) People who are hard to survive every flu. Patients with other chronic diseases are not excluded.

Exclusion criteria:

(1) Patients with various types of acute and severe diseases.

(2) Those with mental disorders.

(3) Subjectively reject the partner.

1.3 Treatment

Maintain normalcy: Both groups did not change the life and medication habits formed in the past.
Observation medication: Li’s Yugansan (composed of Radix Isatidis, Fangfeng, Xinyixin, Chuanxiong, Menthol, etc.) developed by Li’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Tianrentang. Radix Isatidis contains indigoside, B-sitosterol, myrosin, indigo Red, etc., have an inhibitory effect on influenza viruses and a variety of bacteria; windproof contains volatile oil, mannitol, picroside, etc. Animal experiments have an inhibitory effect on influenza viruses; Xinyi contains citral, syringol, eucalyptus, etc., has contraction Nasal mucosa blood vessels, reduce secretions; Chuanqiong can relieve headaches; menthol contains menthol and menthol, which can reduce headaches. The above drugs are all contained in the Pharmacopoeia of the People’s Republic of China. And there is no toxic and side effects, and reasonable coordination can play a role in suppressing cold viruses, reducing cold symptoms, and enhancing the ability to resist diseases). The treatment group was given Li Shi Yu Gan San, accompanied by detailed instructions, and demonstrated the method of medication, and explained the timing of medication.
Medication method: Two medication methods are used. Preventive treatment is used during the epidemic of colds, that is, before and after contact with the crowd; Interceptive therapy is usually used, that is, when the early symptoms of colds appear in time.
Observation time is one year. During this period, telephone follow-up and follow-up visits will be maintained, and key reminders will be given during the flu-prone period.

1.4 Observation indicators

1.4.1 Comprehensive treatment assessment (without healing items): those who have not had a cold for one year are markedly effective I; those who have had a cold decrease of more than 2/3 in one year are markedly effective II; those who have had a cold decrease of more than 1/3 in one year are Effective; if the number of colds decreases less than 1/3 or increases in one year, it is invalid. Total effective rate (%) = (significant effect I + significant effect II + effective) cases / total number of cases in each group.
1.4.2 Observation of lateral efficacy (non-statistical): Select those with relatively stable co-living groups from the treatment group for comparative observation.
1.4.3 Observation of the effect of interception therapy: the incidence of cold discontinuation immediately after medication in the treatment group when the common cold showed early symptoms (discomfort after cold, throat itching, continuous sneezing, etc.).
1.4.4 Observation of safety: whether there are uncomfortable feelings and adverse reactions during and after medication.

2.2 Observation of lateral efficacy (non-statistical)

The observation period covers the period of high incidence of cold epidemics, and coincides with the winter 2009, spring 2010 national and world H1N1 influenza epidemic period, the local influenza incidence rate is also heavier than normal. 10 school-age children who used Li’s Yugansan were interviewed. Fortunately, there was no cold. Parents ’conversations were almost the same:“ In the past, this child was the one who caught a cold if he did n’t catch a cold (always throughout the year). This time all the classmates had a cold, but he did n’t have a cold. ”This horizontal comparison observation has no strict statistical significance, but Compared with the cold situation of relatively stable co-living groups during the cold epidemic period, it can better explain the problem and can be used for reference.

2.3 Observation of immediate effect (non-statistical) of interception therapy

There is no regularity for common colds. Taking cold medicine to prevent it is usually equivalent to blind shooting, and it is impossible to evaluate the effect of medication. Most common colds have obvious short-term early symptoms (discomfort, dry itching, continuous sneezing, etc.), and one of the advantages of Li’s Yugansan is that it can immediately block the development of colds after the early symptoms of colds appear. Most of the markedly effective cases in the above-mentioned treatment groups are usually with frequent cold symptoms, which are more sensitive to their own early symptoms of colds, and can seriously implement the medical orders in time. Drug users.

2.4 Safety

All cases in the treatment group did not show any discomfort and adverse reactions caused by this drug during the medication and during the entire observation process. Li Shi Yu Gan San has not had any adverse clinical reports in clinical use for more than 40 years. During the development process, the developer took 100 times the normal dosage once a week for one week without any adverse reactions.

3 Discussion

The common colds and influenzas in modern times refer to the colds and seasonal colds of traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine has mature theory and rich practical experience in the prevention and treatment of colds. Modern medicine has confirmed that viruses live in human cells. There is no medicine in the world that can directly kill cold viruses. The effective method is to rely on the human immune system. Therefore, the cold should be based on supportive therapy, giving the immune system full physical support to give it time to produce the corresponding antibodies. This in turn provides a modern scientific explanation and theoretical support for why Li’s Yugansan can effectively prevent and cure colds.
One of the assault features of Li’s Yugansan for preventing and treating colds is “interceptive therapy.” Because the virus first invades the upper respiratory tract of the human body, resides in the nasopharyngeal cavity to grow and reproduce, and then invades the human body and human cells in a large amount, so the disease occurs. Before the cold (common cold) virus enters the nasopharyngeal cavity and has not begun to invade the human body and human cells in large numbers, there will be obvious early symptoms of cold, which may be called the “naked virus period”. Li’s Yugansan seizes this favorable opportunity for timely local administration, performs interception, controls the growth and reproduction of the virus, blocks large amounts of cold virus from invading the human body, and thus effectively stops the occurrence of cold or significantly reduces the condition. As for the flu, there are no obvious early symptoms, but because of its clear seasonal and concentrated epidemic patterns can be found, Li Shiyu Gansan took the method of administering it before and after contact with people during the frequent epidemic of colds, and also achieved great results. Good results.
From the observation of the appeal case and the long-term clinical practice, we have noticed that the weaker the physique, the more frequent cold patients are, the more sensitive and important they are to the symptoms of their colds, and the more serious they are in executing their medical orders and taking medication in time, The higher the apparent efficiency. In the initial stage of medication, most cases cannot be used seriously due to reasons such as ignorance and lack of attention; after experiencing the effects of medication, familiarizing with the methods of medication, and developing the habit of medication, the prevention and treatment effect will increase until the long-term Years do not catch a cold. Because the “up to therapy” not only blocked the invasion of the virus, but also did not hinder the body’s own immune process, the physical recovery was obvious. After stopping the medicine, there was very little cold, and occasionally the symptoms of the cold were also significantly reduced, and the course of the disease was shortened.
As of now, Li’s Yugansan lacks clinical observations on confirmed cases of “a stream”. However, a new type of influenza variant virus is seriously harmful mainly due to the speed of its replication and the ability of the human immune system to recognize and resist it in time; such viruses do not bind to human cells in large amounts. Before, as a naked virus, there should be no obvious essential difference from other influenza viruses. Therefore, as a non-specific anti-influenza Chinese medicine Li Shi Yu Gan San, it is theoretically effective to carry out timely “interceptive therapy” at this time. This needs to be further studied and confirmed.
